Ash Austin is a ceramic artist based in Northern California. She sculpts robust, undulating ceramic forms with surface textures evoking the ancient earthly elements. Each piece worships both the body and nature as home, while exploring themes of hope and permanence. The practice of creating these works defies self abandonment and challenges binary thinking about the exquisite ritual of creation.

Influenced equally by classical vessels, modernist architecture, and a feeling of defiance, Ash’s work blurs the line between utility and art object. Her pieces live in the spaces of collectors, creatives, and the curated interiors of those fluent in visual punctuation.
